The other day i mentioned the old guy had a heart attack, well it wasn't entirely because of our fighting. I should not have ignored Clementine, even for a moment. Poor girl had to go to the washroom, that's all she wanted to do. While I was in the heat of the moment to ensure Kenny's boy wasn't thrown out to the horde outside, I half-assed directed Clementine into the bathroom. It should have clicked in when she told me the bathroom was locked, I should have known not to show her the key, but I wasn't fucking thinking. Shortly after showing her the key, in the midst of arguing, I her a high scream. The group turned around to find a ghoul attacking poor Clementine. I didn't think, I just reacted as I ran to her rescue. I don't know what I was thinking, how was I going to fight this thing bare handed?
The adrenaline pumped as I went toe to toe with this thing in order to save the girl. I know now that it was stupid. The woman that saved us before opened fire on the walker, killing it - but the noise was loud enough to attract whatever was outside. This escalated the fighting between the old man, Kenny, the old man's daughter, and I. I thought it was going to turn into a free for all brawl ending with us all getting fucking devoured. Thankfully enough, though I shouldn't be saying it, the old man was having a spasm attack from his heart. Clutching his chest, he dropped like a 200 lbs doormat and allowed everything to cool down.
We found out the poor man needed meds, and this prompted one of the survivors, I think is name was glen, to run off and look for supplies. The guy said he was from around here and new the area well. We let him run off and tried looking around the store. While I was searching for some stuff, Kenny pulled me aside and thanked me for standing up for his boy. We got to talking and I made it slip that my family owned this store, or at least that I know the people deeply. I made sure Ducky was okay and headed off to find more how to get into the pharmacy in the back.
I got to know the people pretty well, I thought, as I learned the old man's name was Larry and his Daughter Lilly. Lilly was from the local air force base working on the tech side. But from what I can tell, she could probably use a fire arm pretty damn well. She seems tough and callous but after talking with her,she seems far for caring than she lets on. I know he need to look and act tough, especially with those things out there.
After making sure Clementine has some food, I headed into the office to find a way into the pharmacy somehow. Shortly after i walked in, I was confronted with the woman with the gun, I then learned her name was Carley - she warned me that she knew who I was. She knew I was convicted of killing another man and that she was one reporting on it. I thought she was going to let it slip. I didn't want to have to do anything. She assured me that she was not going to say anything as long as I didn't become a detriment to the group. I sighed with relief as she went off back to the group. I found that my parents had held themselves up in here. I found a blood soaked bedding and my pop's cane. Now I know they didn't make it. I did what I could to keep the sadness in and continued looking.
I found nothing that could get us into the pharmacy, so I headed back into the general store - that's when we got a distress call from Glenn...
